Well this week was great!
Nothing crazy happened, but it was just nice to be able to meet with the same awesome people and as the title of this letter implies, we found a nice Hamburger restaurant ( I guess it's technically a pizza place) that was really good. We went there on Thursday and it was nice because it's been a while since we've been out to eat ( other than grocery store food).
Sorry this is kind of a boring letter.
Anyway I thought I would invite you all to read Romans 8:35-39 That has been the theme lesson of the week. I reminds me of the story of the footsteps in the sand.
Moral of the week,
Christ loves YOU, and is ALWAYS there for you.
I also love you all and I hope that this next week will be as awesome for you as it is for me.

January 19th, 2015 | Well, it's icy
So the weather decided to be fun and warmed up for about an hour creating rain and then... it all froze. Now there is about an inch of ice EVERYWHERE haha. I feel like it would be smarter to wear ice skates instead of shoes.
This week was good, on Thursday we got to go to Umeå for a Zone training which was really fun, mostly just being able to see everybody (it gets pretty secluded up here with such a small branch and just me and my companion.
We also got to go by Runo, we moved some refrigerators for him and his neighbors, and he cooked us microwave dinners and gave us juice and julmust.
This week for English class I made a scavenger hunt, with riddles and codes it was really fun. I think the best part was the very end when I was holding a flame to a piece of paper that I had written "you win" on in invisible ink (milk) but I was torching the wrong side... haha it all worked out in the end though.
anyway I love you all and hope that all is well.

January 12th, 2015 | Well it's cold.
This week was good, it's great to have people more willing to meet, now that the holidays are over.
Today we found out that our car, which we took to the shop the day we got it, needs a new motor... so probably no car still which is not so fun considering our area is huge and it's -17 C out... surprisingly I'm fine with it though, I am sad because we are not able to get out to a lot of the people that we could otherwise but there is always a bright side. The bright side to this is that getting contacts will be much easier haha.
I really enjoyed teaching Sunday school yesterday and it was made even easier by the fact that there was only one person there besides my companion, Zulla, she is from Mongolia and spoke English which was nice. The lesson was on loving God more than any thing or anyone else.
Other than that we just do the normal missionary things, swing by's, contacting, lessons etc. etc. life goes on.
I feel bad that I have been so bad at sending pictures, so here are a few.

this was a super cool pathway but it was too dark to really see it.

Well Happy New Year! Happy anniversary Mom and Dad!
This week was good, as always, I guess there is always good in a week.
Time is just flying by, I can't believe it's already 2015!!
I bore my testimony in Church yesterday, and I was amazed at how good it felt... I mean it always feels good to bear your testimony but this time especially was great.
I was reading in my Journal from before my mission and some thing that I wrote was that I was searching for peace and joy, and that I had found that in the gospel.
This last week I realized how little time I have left on my mission which caused me to contemplate the last two years of my life. Two years ago today was the day before I recieved my mission call.
I think that above all else I have learned that true happiness comes from living the principles that are taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. By abiding by these standards of living we are happier in the long run. We may have to forego some momentary pleasures and experience riddicule from our coleages, and even our close friends, but at the end of the day. Truth is Truth. 2+2 equals 4 no matter how many people say that it equals 5.
Another great thing that I have learned from my mission is that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. Of course the principles make us happy and lead to productive happy lives, but it is also great to know that God really does exsist. That Jesus Christ his son also lives and that he died for us all so that we could return to live together as families for eternity.
I don't pretend to know or understand all the intricacies of the gospel, but I know enough to say this much: God LOVES YOU, he may be quiet a lot of the time but something I learned from one of my dearest companions while walking the streets of Stockholm in the dark and cold is that:
"Life is a test, God is the teacher... how many times did your teacher talk during a test in school?"
so really from this perspective our father in heaven is rather chatty, or at least he is to me.
I love you all and I hope that 2015 with be the best year ever.

December 29th, 2014 | Christmas Week
Well, skyping was great! what more can I say. Oh and I'm 21! That's weird. It was a good week, I will give the highlights.
On the 23rd we had an unexpected gift exchange with the other elders in our district, we had bought them presents and they had bought us presents as well. I gave Elder Simmons a glass Viking, Elder Floyd a stuffed gorilla, and Elder Persson a decorative plate with a horse head on it. Got them all from second hand stores. I recived a pair of shoes and chocolate and from Elder Perssons mom a whole stocking. It was really fun, afterward we just sat around and talked which was nice.
Christmas I got to Skype!!!!! need I say more.
on my birthday I totally forgot it was my birthday, I got through morning exercises, personal study and as I was jumping into the shower it hit me. and I thought to myself "Hans your 21".
Later in the day for our Institute activity we watched How to train your Dragon, it was AWESOME I love that movie, and it was even cooler seeing vikings speak Swedish. Funny note: while we were watching it I noticed that us four missionaries seemed to laugh way more than all of the youth... I am pretty sure we enjoyed it more than they did. I know that I at least did.
So it ended up being an epic birthday, but I still have to say that Skyping was the highlight of this week... this month in fact.
